OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE, PERSONABLE AND KNOWLEGABLE STAFF. At first I was skeptical about going to a pawn shop. I had a very high priced diamond ring I was looking to sell ($40K+). I had visited several reputable jewelry stores over the past year receiving quotes which I was not satisfied with. I had read some reviews from others about auctioning their diamonds but being dissatisfied with the amount they received and having received higher quotes from their local pawn shop, so I said what the heck.

South Charlotte Jewelry and Loan was the first pawn shop I visited ever. I was greeted by two gentlemen with smiles and great conversation. After they reviewed my diamond ring, he immediately placed a call to the owner Mike. He told me that the ring is not something they would be able to sell at their location however, the owner may be able to assist me. This was a Saturday. I spoke to Mike (owner) and he told me he believed he would be able to assist me. I could go on and on about how he went above and beyond to assist me with the sale of my precious ring and it all would be true. The bottom line is that by Sunday, he had a buyer for me and the price was more than I had been offered by any other jewelry store. What I liked most is he was not in this to make a buck, he was genuinely trying to help me sell my ring and get the most money for it. He even offered to give me the information of the buyer to cut out the middle man (him). He also offered to continue to search for other buyers. He was honest and shared the process step by step. He also offered to verify funds for me at his bank, go with me to the bank to make the deposit; he wanted me to feel comfortable with the process. This is a place of integrity and a place that provides exemplary customer service going above and beyond for their customers.

The owner Mike was great. He noticed an attachment that I could use along with my purchase and also installed it for no additional fee. Small shop but Big on Customer Service. Give these guys a call for the best experience and results

Very great atmosphere and quick to assist! The owner was very charismatic and helpful. They definitely go above and beyond at this place. I would say it is better service than an actual pawn shop because I went to a pawn shop on the same road before entering here and didn't get the same attention/ treatment at the other shop on the same road.

I've been to my fair share of pawn stores and this one is by far the best in Charlotte. The owner knows what he's talking about and on both visits of getting family pieces looked at, I left in tears both times. The amount they know about jewelry and the backstories behind each pieces was astonishing. On my second visit, I actually ended up keeping the piece instead of selling due to the owners recommendation that there is some history behind it and is likely a combination of rings my grandparents had made into theirs. I'm forever grateful for taking it to this shop more than any other.

Not only that, but after seeing the reaction I had, he generously fixed a kink I got in the band that I accidentally got from wearing it for 10+ years after my granny passed.

Honestly. This is not your typical pawn shop. They are hard working honest people in a hard industry. You can't say yes to everyone or give everyone what they're looking for, but they do their best and honestly, their pricing for diamonds and gold is one of the best in Charlotte.

On all the visits I've had here it's all been five star service all around.
